MUBARAK


MUBARAK: Egyptian leader Hosni Mubarak would resign. General Hassan al-Roueini said thousands of demonstrators in Tahrir Square, that "All your demands will be met today." Associated Press said Mubarak will address nation tonight.
The New York Times does not accurately read the news as a triumph for democracy: CAIRO - The Egyptian armed forces said Thursday they had begun to take "necessary measures to protect the nation and support the legitimate demands of the people", a tone that evoked the military destines to take a leading role in administration of the nation torn by conflict.
There was ordinal contiguous verification that the army intended to replace the government appointed by President Hosni Mubarak, but the protesters gathered in Tahrir Square, seemed to appreciate the reports that the military replaced the civilian government, they strongly opposed.
The images of Al-Jazeera television showed the bodies in Tahrir Square, cheering the news, waving flags and singing. "The army and people of a hand"
V.P. Omar Suleiman ordained by Mr. Mubarak to initiate a dialogue with opposition groups warned Tuesday that if the process, he was supervisor did not produce results; the army would intervene to take administrative control of what he called a coup. "There was no information on the role that Mr. Mubarak and Suleiman could play in a military government.
Mubarak has been - and is - a creature of the Egyptian army, like his predecessor, Anwar el-Sadat. Now it is replaced by the same military. Symbolically, this is a great victory for the protesters. But we do not know for months - even years - if this translates into bigger exemption and republic for the people of Egypt. The paragon manikin aspirant that of Turkey, where the ground forces has dallied a crucial role in creating long-term stability while allowing for democracy more and more.
In general, however, military leaders in authoritarian countries are not a good look at the chaos that democracy implies respect. And formerly they've exponent, they have a way of increasing it likes too.
