is similar hip-hop’s Santa Claus the style he waits till half the global is
asleep to surprise fans with new stuff. You never acknowledge while he is going
away to bless us with additional insight on life at the top, but whenever it
takes place you are bound to feel like Christmas came early.
Last
night, Drizzy Drake once more made a late night show on social media to
acquittance a track no one was expecting. The anthemic deed, titled “DraftDay,” samples Lauryn Hill’s “Doo Wop” though Drake gets in on everything from
his willingness to die for his district like The Hunger Games, to risk The
Rapper, the music industry, and altogether the lies others talk while Aubrey is
busy putting in work.
rake
is ne'er one to affirm or deny when he insults other rappers on tracks, but
there is numerous talk this dawn about a series of “Draft Day” lines that look
to take shots at Jay Z. Specifically, the line “Just hits no misses, that’s for
the conjoined folks / Tell ‘em fix my suite up ’cause I’m coming home / Oh, I
heard he speaking crazy, I was out of town / You cognise they love to pop all
that shit when I am not around / But while I’m here? Sssss, not a sound / that’ll
make me snap, jot it down, go in the booth and lay a body down.”
