BEVERLY HILLS: Beverly Hills, CA (January 25, 2011) - Nominations for the 83rd Academy Awards were announced today (Tuesday, January 25) of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President Tom Sherak and 2009 winner Mo'Nique's Oscar ®. Sherak and Mo'Nique, who won an Academy Award ® for his performance in support of "Precious: Based on the novel" Push "by Sapphire, announced the nominees in 10 of the 24 categories of awards at a news 05 : 38 PT live conference attended by over 400 representatives from international media.
Academy members vote on each of the branches to find candidates for their classes - to designate those actors, editors appointed by the editors, etc. and foreign-language animated feature film category, candidates are selected by the electoral committees of multi-branch screening. All members are entitled to vote to choose candidates best pictures. The applications were sent to 5,755 voting members of the boards at the end of December and were returned directly to PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), the international accounting standards for the firm, for tabulation. Official tests for all the films of one or several nominations will start this weekend, members of the Academy's Samuel Goldwyn Theater. Projections also considered Linwood Dunn Theater Academy in Hollywood and London, New York and San Francisco Bay Area.
