Sal Picinich, 'patty Boss' Baker, breaks of Cancer: Sal Picinich, baker Boss TLC Cake, died at the age of 63 years, according to NorthJersey.com.
The Croatian Picinich worked for 45 years in Carlo's Bakery Hoboken, New Jersey, where the reality series is filmed.
Buddy Valastro, namesake of the show "Cake Boss, as seen Picinich as a" second father, "said Carlo's Bakery publicist Adam Bourcier. Picinich also worked with the father of Valastro.
The fourth season of "Cake Boss" began Jan. 24. Sal Picinich appearances on the show declined in late 2009, when his fight against cancer began.
"The minute he does not stop at the bakery Carlo was the minute I knew Sal was beginning to feel the pain," told his married woman, Lucille Picinich.
Fortunately Sal Picinich "returned last summer to accept the award Employee of the century to mark the 100th anniversary of the bakery," wrote NorthJersey.com.
TLC has brought out the chase argument: "TLC was saddened to learn of the death of Sal Picinich, an employee beloved Carlo's Bakery Cake featured on the Boss. We join Buddy Valastro and crew all Carlo in sending the Sal family our deepest condolences. "
Lucille Sal Picinich told Sal, her hubby since 1973, was "a gentleman of some words" and loved the limelight "Cake Boss" put it in "We went to Applegate Farms [in Montclair, NJ] and all of Suddenly people were saying: "Hey there Sal! She said. "We survived on a sail end summer and have been spotted on the Oasis."
Sal Picinich funeral is scheduled for Feb. Four in Garden State .
