YEH SAALI ZINDAGI REVIEW: AN ENTERTAINING CRIME COMEDY: Review: Yeh Zindagi Saali is surely one of the movies even more erratic directed by Sudhir Mishra entertaining so far. It is a raucous rollercoaster of fun and fast, the emotion and the element of unpredictability. Arjun worked by actor Irrfan Khan is infatuated with Priya, whose role is tested by Singh Chitrangdha but she gives her love to turn Shyam played by Vipul Gupta. It's not over still; Shyam is engaged to the daughter of the minister.
Amid all this confusion, Kuldeep Singh played by Arunoday, a petty criminal on the scene to complicate matters further.
Shyam he kidnaps and holds hostage to the minister is obliged to pay his boss tried by Yashpal Sharma Baden, which is currently under arrest. Priya somehow drags herself in this situation and decided to side with his love, Shyam. Arun who cares Priya is drawn into the inevitable chaos.
From the start, the Director shall check that the communicative is whole below his control and introduced a host of characters without clear distinction. The public is allowed to move along the film advance and acclimate to the myriad of characters. The narrative becomes erratic with inefficient round trips and frequent changes in the voiceover as well. The film is almost too fast just for the public to grasp the meaning, but while the interconnections are exposed, it takes an interesting twist.
Sudhir Mishra did a fabulous job with the script evokes memories of his film Iss Raat Ki Subah Nahi. The movie just never takes a position on anything remotely moralistic and progressing with wry humor courtesy of Manu Rishi. As predicted, perverts go on, but they are barely violative and go with the timber of the film. This film although based on the crime is really a tale of 2 men namely Arun and Kuldeep goes far in the field of romance for their beloved. Priya Arun love is categorical and bracing when chemistry with his wife Kuldeep literally burns the screen.
The songs were knitted in the movie to highlight situations effectively and cinematography by Sachin Krishnan is one word perfect. Irrfan takes out the better in his character that he alone can Chitrangdha which sizzles and charming in his role. Arunoday Singh has shown many forgettable roles incomplete and finally gets a decent chance to showcase his endowment and creates the most of it. The film is entertaining and worthwhile.
